In 2003, Ford designed a special tank for the 03 and 04 Mustang Cobras. It looked like a regular tank on the outside but had one of the best internal baffling systems among OE tanks to date. In late 2011, Ford stopped making these tanks. Aeromotive saw a chance to reproduce them. We can offer reproduction 03 - 04 Cobra tanks and modify the tooling to fit all Fox Body Mustangs. We went a step further and built specific A1000 and Eliminator Fuel Pumps that directly bolt onto the top of these tanks. Then we created a complete system with one part - number that gives you everything needed to install a full Aeromotive Fuel System in your Fox Body. These Fox Body Stealth tanks offer top - notch performance from a stock - looking tank, with our proven A1000 or Eliminator fuel pumps built in. You can choose either pump and install a fuel tank that looks stock but has an innovative baffling system, a built - in fuel pump for almost any hp demand, and a pre - pump filter. Using this Aeromotive fuel system is quite straightforward. First, make sure you've checked the year specifications for your Ford Mustang. If you have a 1979 - 1985 Mustang, you'll need to get an 1986 or later leveling unit and an aftermarket fuel level gauge. For 1998.5 - 2004 Mustangs, the stealth tanks are coming soon, but if you have a 2003 or 2004 Cobra, you're in luck as it's a direct bolt - in. When installing, use the factory tank straps to bolt the tank into the factory location. Connect all the parts included in the package like the fuel rail kit, wiring kit, and port fittings. Make sure to connect the fuel lines properly using the provided AN - 08 Fuel Line and Hose - Ends. For maintenance, regularly check the pre - pump and post - pump filters. The pre - pump filter is 100 - Micron Stainless Steel, and the post - pump filter is 10 - Micron. Replace them when they get dirty or clogged. Also, keep an eye on the fuel level sending unit, especially if you're using the 03 - 04 Cobra ones.
