Product Description

This aluminum flange, precision CNC - machined, is a game - changer for Honda and Acura vehicles. It enables you to relocate the factory IAT (intake air temperature) sensor to a charge pipe or intake. In the factory setup, aluminum intake manifolds can get heat - soaked, giving the ECU a false high air temp reading. This isn't an issue for stock setups, but when you add a turbocharger, supercharger, or other aftermarket parts, problems can arise. The best place for the IAT sensor is right before the throttle body on the intake or charge piping. Some OBD2 Honda/Acuras have the air temp sensor in the intake piping, and with forced induction, you need a secure way to mount the IAT to prevent it from blowing out under boost. Also, some JDM intake manifolds lack the flange for the factory IAT sensor, and this flange can be added in such cases. Note: This part requires welding and custom fitment, not a simple bolt - on flange. Applications include Honda, Acura, and custom setups. Included are (1) Honda/Acura OBDI IAT weld flange and (2) Allen head bolts to secure the sensor to the flange.

Using this IAT weld flange is a great way to improve your Honda or Acura's performance. First, find the right spot for the sensor, ideally before the throttle body on the intake or charge piping. Since this part requires welding and custom fitment, it's recommended to get help from a professional welder. When you're installing, use the included Allen head bolts to secure the sensor to the flange tightly. As for maintenance, regularly check the welds to make sure they're still strong and there are no signs of cracking. Also, keep an eye on the sensor and clean it if you notice any dirt or debris build - up. This will ensure the sensor gives accurate readings and your engine runs smoothly.
