The Aeromotive Fuel Pump Speed Controller (FPSC) is a must - have for any vehicle's fuel pump. It effectively minimizes fuel heating and vapor - lock issues by precisely matching the fuel pump's duty cycle to the engine RPM. When the engine is under low demand, the FPSC slows down the fuel pump, significantly reducing the risk of suction side cavitation and vapor lock. Once the demand rises, it immediately restores the fuel pump to 100% duty cycle for maximum fuel flow, just like an automatic transmission for your fuel pump. LED indicators on the FPSC offer clear feedback. They confirm the correct hookup of the ignition signal, verify the activation of the manual override circuit, and show when the circuit provides full voltage to the pump. Unlike some devices that reduce voltage to the fuel pump (which can destroy a 12V DC motor), the Aeromotive FPSC emits a pulse modulation signal that's harmless to the pump's motor. It features a solid - state transistor circuit rated up to 40 amps, replacing the relays commonly used in most fuel pump electrical circuits. The full - speed RPM threshold is adjustable to suit different needs. The housing is made of billet 6061 - T651 aircraft aluminum, protected with a beautiful bright dip black anodized finish.
