The Air-Cooled model's bearing housing has an internal air passage behind the compressor wheel for cooling instead of a water jacket. Without the need for oil or water lines and with a Zerk fitting for easy servicing, the CTR Air-Cooled Triplex Ceramic Turbochargers are perfect for low, mid, or remote mount setups. Comp Turbo ball bearing turbochargers feature a patented triple ball bearing design with 99% mechanical efficiency! This results in a faster transient response compared to the industry standard dual ball bearing system because of reduced friction losses. The Comp Turbo CTR high flow turbine wheels have low leaving velocity due to a longer blade surface, minimizing losses. This leads to higher turbine efficiency and a wider flow range than other turbine wheels in the industry.
