The lower hose now has a built - in port for an optional bung for an OEM rad fan switch. You no longer have to cut the hose to install a big and ugly aluminum adapter. If you don't plan to use a fan switch at the hose location, the included plug can easily seal the port. You can also drill and tap the plug for auxiliary coolant sensors if needed. We still suggest installing the single - wire coolant temp gauge sensor in the upper rad hose location. Made from top - quality 4 - ply silicone, these hoses are designed to work with most 92 - 00 half - size radiators relocated to the driver side of the engine bay.
