Applications: This steel oil pan is a direct replacement for all K20A, K20A2, and K20Z1 engines. It also fits K20A3, K24A1, and K24A4 engines that originally had a steel oil pan. For engines with the balance shaft oil pump, the Type S model pump is required to fit this pan. Features: It's constructed with full steel, offering superior durability. Notes: When switching to this steel oil pan, you can buy a flywheel cover (Inspection Cover) from Honda, part number 21351 - PNA - 000. It does not fit the K20Z3 Engine with the OEM oil pump. If you're unsure about fitment, please contact us before ordering. The Honda K - Series engines often face issues with their cast - aluminum oil pans. In K - swapped cars (EG/DC2/EK), the K20A, A2, or Z1 engines sit about 3/4' lower than the older B engines. The cast - aluminum oil pans can crack or shatter when hit by something hard. Our K - Tuned Oil Pans are made of thick - gauge powder - coated steel. They'll likely just dent if hit. You can choose to buy our complete kit, which includes the oil pan, a magnetic drain plug with the K logo, and a set of 16 bolts for K20A/A2 or Z1 engines. The original bolts for the aluminum pan are longer and won't work with the steel pan. Or you can buy just the pan without the drain plug or bolts, ideal for replacing a damaged pan or building a new engine. To seal the pan properly, we recommend using either Hondabond or Permatex Ultra Grey Sealer, part number 82194.

Using the K - Tuned Steel Oil Pan is straightforward. First, check if your engine is one of the compatible models (K20A, K20A2, K20Z1, K20A3, K24A1, K24A4). If your engine has a balance shaft oil pump, make sure to use the Type S model pump. When installing, if you buy the complete kit, it comes with a magnetic drain plug and bolts suitable for K20A/A2 or Z1 engines. Remember, the original aluminum pan bolts won't work. After installation, use Hondabond or Permatex Ultra Grey Sealer (part number 82194) to ensure a proper seal. Here are some important notes. Don't use this oil pan with the K20Z3 Engine and OEM oil pump. If you're not sure if it fits your engine, reach out to us before ordering. Also, when switching to the steel oil pan, you can get a flywheel cover from Honda (part number 21351 - PNA - 000). For maintenance, the steel construction is quite durable. But it's a good idea to regularly check for dents or any signs of damage. If you notice a dent, as long as it's not affecting the oil flow or the seal, it should still work fine.
