Product Description

Thinking about switching to EFI or swapping in a late - model motor? Fuel delivery has long been a headache in the hot - rodding scene. Until now, you had only three options for your fuel tank: welding in a sump, using a fuel cell, or paying for a custom tank. But not anymore! Aeromotive's Phantom Fuel System lets you install a high - performance fuel pump in almost any fuel tank, including your factory one. It's a game - changer! Just cut a hole in your tank, measure its depth, adjust the pump hanger bracket and baffle / basket foam, insert the baffle, install the retainer ring and gasket, and bolt down the pump and hanger. That's all it takes! Now your factory tank has a fuel pump that can support big - horsepower EFI or carbureted engines and runs almost silently. No more welding sumps or sacrificing trunk space for fuel cells. Say goodbye to hot - fuel problems like vapor - lock and fuel slosh. The Phantom system's internal baffle / basket controls fuel movement and keeps the pump submerged, even at low fuel levels and during aggressive driving. The best part? It's completely universal. This system fits virtually any 6 - 11 - inch deep tank, whether it's plastic, steel, aluminum, corrugated, or smooth. It's a one - stop solution for fueling your ride with serious performance that you'll barely notice. Click here to learn more about this amazing universal in - tank fuel system. Patent No. 8,783,287. Using the Aeromotive Phantom 340 Universal In - Tank Fuel System is a breeze. First, cut a hole in your fuel tank. Then measure the depth of the tank. Next, cut the pump hanger bracket and the baffle / basket foam to the right length. Insert the baffle into the tank, followed by installing the retainer ring and gasket. Finally, bolt the pump and hanger down. That's how you get it up and running. As for maintenance, it's important to check the fuel filter regularly. A dirty filter can reduce the system's performance. Also, make sure the system is always used with a return - style system as required. This system is only for in - tank use, so don't try to use it outside the tank. If you notice any unusual noises or a drop in performance, it might be time to inspect the pump and other components. For any additional parts like the Phantom extension kit, follow the instructions provided with the kit.
