Product Description
Part Number 18374 - Universal 3.5 Brushless Stealth Gear Pump with Pro-Series Performance Plus Advanced Technology. This pump features a universal filter pickup with an overall height adjustable from 10 - 16 inches. It offers the expected Pro-Series performance and more. For fuel injected engines, it can handle up to 2400 FWHP for naturally aspirated and up to 1800 FWHP for forced air induction. For carbureted engines, it supports up to 2600 FWHP naturally aspirated and up to 2000 FWHP with forced air induction. It's E85 compatible (reduce max FWHP by 30%), lighter than traditional Pro-Series pumps, has reduced current draw at high EFI pressures, and an extended service life in methanol and ethanol. It has a new integral spur-gear pumping mechanism, a 90 - PSI continuous operating pressure and up to 150 - PSI peak pressure (base plus boost), an integral external brushless controller for a clean installation, cooler fuel, and enhanced reliability. It comes with an ORB - 10 outlet port. It requires a straight 12 - VDC to 16 - VDC power supply and is not compatible with pulse modulated systems or fuel pump speed controllers. EFI Rated flow is 1,250 lbs./hr. @ 40 psi, 13.5 volts, and Carb Rated Flow is 1,350 lbs./hr. @ 9 psi, 13.5 volts.
Using this Aeromotive fuel pump is quite straightforward. First, make sure you have a straight 12 - VDC to 16 - VDC power supply as it won't work with pulse modulated systems or fuel pump speed controllers. The pump has a universal filter pickup, and you can adjust its overall height between 10 and 16 inches according to your needs. When it comes to engine types, it performs well with both fuel injected and carbureted engines, but note the different FWHP limits for naturally aspirated and forced air induction setups. If you're using E85 fuel, remember to reduce the max FWHP by 30%. As for maintenance, since it has an extended service life in methanol and ethanol, you don't have to worry too much about degradation in these fuels. However, it's a good idea to regularly check the integral external brushless controller to ensure a clean installation and reliable performance. And always keep an eye on the operating pressure to make sure it stays within the 90 - PSI continuous and up to 150 - PSI peak range (base plus boost).
