RIFE offers high - quality surface mount temperature sensors designed for a 5/16' bolt with an M5 connector. The temperature range of this sensor is from - 20 to 275°F, making it suitable for various temperature - monitoring applications. It has two mounting styles: bolt - down and sub - surface. The bolt - down style is for a 4/16” bolt and comes with an insulating washer. The sub - surface style can be mounted in a 3/32” hole using epoxy, silicone, or a 400°F adhesive disc (included). Note: Due to the wiring size and usage nature of this product, we recommend creating a strain relief for the wiring. Unlike most Motion Raceworks products, these sensors, like most electronics, are not 100% Made in the USA. Although we try hard to source all US electronic components, we can't get everything domestically.
Using this 5/16 RIFE surface temperature sensor is straightforward. First, decide on the mounting style that suits your needs. If you choose the bolt - down style, use the provided insulating washer when attaching it with a 4/16” bolt. For the sub - surface style, you can use the included 400°F adhesive disc, epoxy, or silicone to mount it in a 3/32” hole. The sensor can measure temperatures from - 20 to 275°F, so make sure your application falls within this range. One important note: because of the wiring size and how the product is used, it's a good idea to create a strain relief for the wiring to prevent any damage. When it comes to maintenance, keep the sensor clean and check the connections regularly. Also, be aware that this sensor is not 100% Made in the USA, as we face challenges in sourcing all components domestically.
