DRAG CARTEL K-SERIES TENSIONER COVER

The DRAG CARTEL Tensioner Cover Plate features a simple o - ring seal placed in a machined groove on the back. This innovative o - ring design speeds up and simplifies timing chain tensioner checks and replacements. It gets rid of the need for messy sealers, which are a hassle to clean. Moreover, the OEM stamped steel cover often bends when pried off the chain case and usually needs replacement. Checking the chain tensioner is crucial. A failing tensioner can damage your engine. The timing chain tensioner holds the timing chain, which keeps the engine at the right timing. The Drag Cartel tensioner Cover Plate is crafted from 6061 billet aluminum and comes with new hardware for easy installation. Remove the OEM black cover, clean the mounting surface (a razor blade, green scotch brite pad, and brake cleaner work great), and then you can repeatedly install and remove our plate without using any sealer. Application: All K20 and K24s (Does not fit K24Z motors).

Using the DRAG CARTEL K - SERIES Tensioner Cover Plate is easy. First, take off the OEM black cover from your engine. Then, clean the mounting surface thoroughly. You can use a razor blade to scrape off the old sealer, followed by a green scotch brite pad and brake cleaner for a good clean. After that, simply bolt on our cover plate with the new hardware that comes with it. You don't need to use any sealer. When it comes to checking the timing chain tensioner, with our cover plate, it's much quicker and easier compared to the OEM one. Remember, it's a good idea to check your tensioner every now and then for wear or damage. If you notice any issues, it's best to replace the tensioner right away. As for maintenance, just keep the cover plate clean and check the bolts regularly to make sure they're tight. That way, your engine will stay in good shape.
