The electric water plate kit was the first product developed by ETD Racing, now K-Tuned. Since its release, we've made significant advancements and improvements to the design. In recent years, the market has seen many imitations. While others simply copy our design, we're committed to continuous improvement. We recently launched our K-Series Water Plate Kit that uses the K-Series Alternator. Now, we're excited to present our redesigned Water Plate Kit for B-Series Alternator. The new water plate kit features two o-ring seals. You no longer need Honda Bond to seal the water plate, making it easier to switch between engine blocks. The alternator brackets have been redesigned for greater strength and more adjustment options. The top bracket allows the alternator to pivot properly to adjust belt pressure. The water inlet uses a -16AN port with a custom fitting that offers eight different positions. For years, racers have used electric water pumps to reduce the power loss from engine parasitic drag. By reducing the number of accessories the crank needs to turn, you can achieve impressive power gains. The K-Tuned Water Pump Block Off Plate system is designed to set up a K-series engine for an electric water pump cooling system. It replaces bulky and heavy OEM accessories with a simple, lightweight aluminum plate. The kit ensures perfect coolant flow and effectively releases unwanted crankcase pressure. The water port is sealed like the factory using an o-ring seal, and the breather port is threaded for an 8AN fitting, easily routed to any catch can setup. We've also designed an alternator bracket setup for lighter Honda B and D alternators. We offer a series of kits so you can choose the parts you need to build a system that fits your application. Using the K-Tuned water plate with alternator brackets is a breeze. First, make sure your engine is turned off and cooled down. Then, carefully remove the OEM water passage and accessories as described in the features. Install the lightweight block-off plate in place of the OEM water passage. Use the provided hardware to secure it properly. Next, attach the alternator brackets. You can adjust them for better strength and to get the right belt pressure using the top bracket. The alternator pulley and 7PK828 belt should be installed according to the standard procedures. The custom water plate fitting with the -16AN port gives you eight different position options for the water inlet. Just pick the one that suits your setup best. Remember, this product is only for drag racing, so don't use it on regular roads. It doesn't work with K24Z and K24Y series engines when using D/B Series alternators, and it won't fit the D17 alternator. The water pump has a 20 gallons per minute flow rating, so keep an eye on the coolant flow. For maintenance, check the o-ring seals regularly to make sure there are no leaks. The breather port with the 8AN fitting should be connected to a catch can, and you should check this connection too. Also, make sure the alternator brackets are tight and in good condition. If you notice any signs of wear or damage, replace the parts as needed.
