Lubrication is crucial for turbochargers spinning at super - high speeds. Traditionally, engine oil has been used to lubricate turbocharger bearing systems, but it comes with limitations like restricted mounting options, susceptibility to contaminants, leaks, and smoking. Comp Turbo took on these challenges and developed the world's first production oil - less turbocharger! The patented CTR Oil - Less Turbochargers use a Triplex Ceramic triple ball bearing system. The bearings are lubricated by a special high - quality non - channeling grease. The Air - Cooled model has an internal air passage behind the compressor wheel for cooling, replacing the water jacket. Without the need for oil or water lines and with a Zerk fitting for easy servicing, these CTR Air - Cooled Triplex Ceramic Turbochargers are perfect for low, mid, or remote mount setups. Comp Turbo ball bearing turbochargers have a patented triple ball bearing design with 99% mechanical efficiency. They offer faster transient response than the industry - standard dual ball bearing system due to reduced friction losses, improving response times and boosting power output. Our patented Triplex Ceramic bearing system is housed in a billet aluminum housing, making our turbochargers 5 to 12 pounds lighter on average. All our turbochargers are proudly made in the USA and feature the latest R - Line technology. The CTR 7/14 veined billet slim hub extended tip compressor wheel and CTR slim hub lightweight turbine wheel provide advanced rotor technology. Features include a Titanium Bullet Nose, full rebuildability/upgradability, an Anti - Surge Compressor Housing, CTR Compressor and Turbine Wheels, no need for oil and water lines, and the ability to be mounted in any orientation. The CTR - line compressor wheels are 7 - 14 vaned, with a minimum diameter hub for maximum intake airflow and an extended tip design for better efficiency at high pressure ratios. The R - line design can increase engine HP output by up to 15% at high engine speeds. The CTR Turbine wheels have 25% lower inertia, accelerating the rotor faster. Their slim hub and thin blade design increase flow capacity by 30% compared to the prior GT style. With minimal leaving velocity, they offer higher turbine efficiency and a greater flow range. Turbochargers are built to order and take 3 to 5 weeks to deliver.






Using your CTR Air - Cooled 1.0 Turbocharger is straightforward. Since it doesn't need oil or water lines, installation is easier compared to traditional turbochargers. You can mount it in any orientation that suits your setup. When it comes to maintenance, there's a Zerk fitting for easy servicing. Regularly check the Zerk fitting to ensure proper lubrication of the Triplex Ceramic triple ball bearing system. Keep an eye on the overall performance of the turbocharger. If you notice any decrease in power or strange noises, it might be time for a more in - depth inspection. Remember, these turbochargers are built to order, so be patient as they take 3 to 5 weeks to arrive.
