Part Number 12604 100 - M Stainless Replacement Element. This is a service element designed for Aeromotive Billet in - line filters. It fits all 2' OD x 5 - 1/2' long ORB - 10 filter housings and comes with a new housing o - ring to reseal the filter assembly. It can be used as a pre - filter for fuel pumps up to 2.5 GPM with gasoline, diesel, ethanol, and methanol fuels. Also, it can serve as a post - filter for larger 6 & 12 - Series and Spur Gear Mechanical Fuel Pumps up to 21 - GPM. It's a direct replacement for filter part numbers 12304, 12324, 12354, 12307, 12349, 12379, 12389, and 12331. Check the Filter Chart in the image gallery on the left and the Filter Dimensional Drawing if you need help identifying your filter and finding the right replacement.
Using this Aeromotive replacement element is easy. First, make sure your fuel pump is turned off. Then, carefully remove the old filter element from your 2' OD x 5 - 1/2' long ORB - 10 filter housing. Take the new replacement element and use the included o - ring to seal it properly in the housing. When choosing its position, you can use it as a pre - filter for smaller fuel pumps up to 2.5 GPM with various fuels like gasoline, diesel, ethanol, and methanol. For larger 6 & 12 - Series and Spur Gear Mechanical Fuel Pumps up to 21 - GPM, it can be used as a post - filter. As for maintenance, check the element regularly for any signs of clogging. If it looks dirty or you notice a decrease in fuel flow, it's time to replace it. Always refer to the filter chart and dimensional drawing if you're unsure about the replacement process.
