Product Description

RIFE's 'Hi Temp' IAT/Intake Air Temp Sensors are ideal for intake air temperatures ranging from 40°F to 485°F. These sensors come with ultra-fast response thermistors, which are 15 times faster and 3 times more accurate than traditional EFI sensors on the market. Faster response times and accurate readings mean more precise tune adjustments for a safer and more reliable tune-up. The Hi-AT sensor series is mainly used for turbo and blower cars as an IAT sensor and for compressor outlet temperature measurement. Due to its high temperature ceiling, the resolution at lower temperatures is reduced. It's also suitable for other vehicle applications that need an extended temperature range. This sensor is optimized for accuracy and resolution in the 40°F - 485°F range. Features include a 1/4' NPT thread, 15x faster response time, 3x more accurate readings, in-house machining and construction, a hard anodized CNC machined housing, and a temperature range of 40 to 485°F. Connectors are sold separately. Flying Lead Connector Kit and Connector Kit w/ crimp terminals are available. Note: Unlike most Motion Raceworks products, these sensors are not 100% Made in the USA. This sensor won't work with Fueltech or Haltech ECU. For these ECUs, use part number 52-1205. Thermistors don't have a specific polarity, so wire color or pin location doesn't require specific configuration. Calibration setup for EFI systems is available for Fueltech, Holley, and Haltech. If you need a different thread pattern or electrical connection, check out our full line of Air Temp Sensors.

Using this RIFE Hi IAT Air Temperature Sensor is straightforward. First, make sure to choose the right connector as they are sold separately. You can pick either the Flying Lead Connector Kit or the Connector Kit with crimp terminals. When wiring, don't worry about the polarity of the thermistors - the wire color or pin location on the sensor doesn't need a specific configuration. This sensor is mainly for turbo and blower cars, measuring intake air temperature and compressor outlet temperature. It also works for other vehicle parts that need a wide temperature range. However, it won't work with Fueltech or Haltech ECU. If you have these ECUs, use part number 52-1205 instead. Since it has a high temperature ceiling, the resolution at lower temperatures is lower. Try to use it within the 40°F - 485°F range for the best accuracy. As for maintenance, keep the sensor clean and check for any signs of damage regularly. The hard anodized CNC machined housing is durable, but it's still good to handle it with care.
