The electric water plate kit was initially developed by ETD Racing, now known as K-Tuned. Since its launch, we've made significant advancements and improvements to the design. In recent years, the market has been flooded with imitations. While others simply copy our design, we're committed to continuous improvement. We recently introduced our K-Series Water Plate Kit that utilizes the K-Series Alternator, and now we're thrilled to present our redesigned Water Plate Kit for B-Series Alternators. The new water plate kit features two o-ring seals, eliminating the need for Honda Bond to seal the water plate. This makes it easier to switch the water plate between engine blocks. The water inlet uses a -16AN port with a custom fitting that offers eight different positions. For years, racers have used electric water pumps to reduce the power-robbing effects of parasitic drag from their engines. By reducing the number of accessories the crank needs to turn, significant power gains can be achieved. The K-Tuned Water Pump Block Off Plate system is designed to set up a K-series engine to run an electric water pump cooling system. It replaces all the bulky and heavy OEM accessories with a simple, lightweight aluminum plate. The kit ensures perfect coolant flow and effectively releases unwanted crankcase pressure. The water port is sealed just like the factory using an o-ring seal, and the breather port is threaded for an 8AN fitting, easily routed to any catch can setup. We've also designed an alternator bracket setup for lighter Honda B and D alternators. We offer a series of kits, allowing you to choose the parts you need to build a system that fits your application perfectly. This is a must-have for serious race car builds and a favorite among All Motor racers. Applications: All K-series engines except K24Z and K24Y Series Engines. Note: This product is for Drag Racing Only. The race plate setup includes the water plate and hardware, but no fittings. The water pump provides a 20 gallons per minute flow rating. Features: Replaces the large OEM water passage with a lightweight block-off plate. Deletes the OEM water pump, auto tensioner, P/S, A/C, and EP3 pulley. Using this K-Tuned water plate race kit is a great way to enhance your engine's performance. First, make sure your engine is a compatible K-series (except K24Z and K24Y) or a B-series engine. If you're replacing the OEM parts with this kit, start by removing the bulky and heavy OEM water passage, water pump, auto tensioner, P/S, A/C, and EP3 pulley. Then, install the lightweight aluminum block-off plate. The new water plate with its two o - ring seals doesn't need Honda Bond, so just fit it properly on the engine block. The water inlet has a custom - fitting - 16AN port that can be adjusted to eight different positions according to your needs. For the alternator, if you choose the kit with the alternator mounting bracket, install it with the lighter Honda B or D alternator. Remember, this product is only for drag racing. The race plate setup comes with the water plate and hardware, but you'll need to get your own fittings if you don't have them. The water pump has a 20 gallons per minute flow rating. When it comes to maintenance, regularly check the o - ring seals for any signs of wear or leakage. Also, make sure the breather port and coolant port are clean and free from blockages. If you notice any issues with the water flow or pressure, it's a good idea to inspect the entire system right away.
