Product Description
Part Number 18375: Universal 5.0 Brushless Stealth Gear Pump. Experience ground - shaking performance with advanced technology! This pump comes with a universal filter pickup and allows for an overall height adjustment from 10 - 16 inches. It supports a wide range of engines. For fuel - injected engines, it can handle up to 3400 FWHP in naturally aspirated setups and up to 2600 FWHP with forced air induction. For carbureted engines, it can go up to 3600 FWHP naturally aspirated and 2700 FWHP with forced air induction. It's E85 compatible (though you'll need to reduce max FWHP by 30%). Lighter than traditional Pro - Series pumps, it has a reduced current draw at higher EFI pressures. It offers an extended service life in methanol and ethanol. The new integral spur - gear pumping mechanism is a great addition. It can operate continuously at 90 - PSI and reach a peak pressure of 150 - PSI (base plus boost). The integral, external brushless controller ensures a clean installation, cooler fuel, and enhanced reliability. It has an ORB - 10 outlet port. Requires a straight 12 - VDC to 16 - VDC power supply and is not compatible with pulse modulated systems or fuel pump speed controllers. EFI rated flow is 1,700 lbs./hr. @ 40 psi, 13.5 volts, and carb rated flow is 1,850 lbs./hr. @ 9 psi, 13.5 volts.
Using this Aeromotive fuel pump is straightforward. First, make sure you have a straight 12 - VDC to 16 - VDC power supply. This pump isn't compatible with pulse modulated systems or fuel pump speed controllers, so avoid using it with those. Install the pump following the manufacturer's instructions, taking advantage of the integral, external brushless controller for a clean setup. You can adjust the overall height of the pump between 10 and 16 inches thanks to the universal filter pickup. When it comes to the type of engine, it works great with both fuel - injected and carbureted engines, but keep in mind the different FWHP limits. If you're using E85 fuel, reduce the max FWHP by 30%. For maintenance, check the pump regularly, especially if you're using methanol or ethanol as it can offer an extended service life in these fuels. Keep an eye on the pressure, with a continuous operating pressure of 90 - PSI and a peak of 150 - PSI. And always ensure the power supply is stable to keep the pump running smoothly.
