At the track, it's common to see two people struggling to remove a hood with a socket, trying hard not to cause any damage. Our innovative Quick Release Hood Hinges are a game - changer. They allow one person to remove the hood quickly without the need for tools. Lift the hood past 75 degrees, and it comes right off. Below that angle, the hood stays securely in place. All hinges are equipped with a locking pin, which is used during the installation process. Once installed, you can remove the pin. Made from 6061 aluminum and hard anodized, these hinges are built to last. They are specifically designed for 02 - 06 RSX DC5. The design is patent - pending. Our recommendation is to install one hinge at a time. This makes the process more manageable as you don't have to align the entire hood at once. Ensure perfect alignment and that the hinge doesn't touch anything. After finishing one side, move to the other. Once both are installed and everything moves smoothly, remove the lock pins from the top. Note that a slight cutting of the weather strip is required.
