Product Description

In 2012, we launched our original B/D Shifter. Since then, we've introduced three different versions and made minor design updates over the years. In 2019, we've completely revamped the design. At the base, we've replaced the white plastic cage with a Delrin bushing. Delrin is an extremely strong plastic, resistant to chemicals, perfect for automotive use. It also has high abrasion resistance and a low friction coefficient, ensuring smooth shifting from the start and for a long time. This gives a tighter feel compared to the original OEM accordion - style plastic housing. The Delrin bushing is covered with a TPV bushing to keep it clean. We've swapped the stamped steel base plate for a 0.35 - inch aluminum plate. It's sturdier, won't rust, and adds to the shifter's rigidity. We've also added an extra threaded hole to further enhance rigidity. The shifter is wrapped around a redesigned lower shaft. It maintains the adjustable throw feature of the original shifter, but now it can be adjusted from inside the car. The 6061 aluminum black - anodized lower adjustment shaft has a notched section for easy throw adjustment, and a sight hole for clear and measurable adjustment. The rest of the shifter has a familiar look with black - anodized elbows, machined logo, and clean edges. All shifters are independently adjustable in height and throw. Applications include B - Series and D - Series Engines. Note that D15/D16 will use the stock steel plate, and you need to remove the billet plate on the base and reuse the factory plate. EM2/ES1 D17 is excluded.

Using your K - Tuned B/D Shifter X 3 is easy. First, make sure your engine is a B - Series or D - Series. If you have a D15/D16 engine, remove the billet plate on the base and use the stock steel plate. For EM2/ES1 D17 engines, this shifter is not suitable. To adjust the throw, you can do it from inside the car. Just spin the 6061 aluminum black - anodized lower adjustment shaft up or down using the notched section. Use the sight hole to measure the adjustment clearly. When it comes to maintenance, since the Delrin bushing is covered with a TPV bushing, it stays clean. But it's a good idea to check the shifter regularly for any signs of wear. The aluminum base plate won't rust, but keep an eye on the extra threaded hole for any looseness. With proper use and care, your shifter will give you smooth shifting for a long time.
