This is a stock throttle body coupler designed specifically for PRL Motorsports 9th Gen Civic Intake Systems. PRL Motorsports Couplers are made of 4 - ply silicone with polyester reinforcement and a 70 Durometer rating. The coupler has a nominal 0.200” wall thickness (ranging from.170” to.220”). It can work well in temperatures from - 65°F (-53.9°C) to 350°F (+176.6°C) and is resistant to electrochemical degradation. Our standard silicone hose products aren't suitable for pressurized oil or fuel, but we offer special Fluorocarbon and Fluorosilicone liners for better chemical resistance. Just contact our engineering department for more details. It meets or exceeds many performance and physical criteria, like SAE J20 R1, SAE J20 R1 H.T. Class A, etc. It also has excellent ozone and UV resistance. For high - temperature applications up to 500°F, aramid reinforcement is available. Commonly used in air intake, supercharger, cold - side turbo and intercooler connections, and many other applications with high temperatures or extreme conditions. Using this 4 - ply silicone reducer coupler is quite straightforward. Just connect it to the appropriate parts of your PRL Motorsports 9th Gen Civic Intake Systems or other relevant applications. Make sure to check the size (3.50 - 3.25) to ensure a proper fit. Note that this standard coupler isn't suitable for use with pressurized oil or fuel. If you need chemical resistance, contact our engineering department for special liners. For maintenance, keep it clean and avoid exposing it to extreme chemicals. In high - temperature applications, if you need more heat resistance, consider the aramid - reinforced option.
