The factory clutch master cylinders in 2006 - 2015 Civics are notoriously unreliable. Their poor design and quality can cause early failures of crucial drivetrain parts. High RPM grinds often happen because the OE master cylinders can't transfer fluid well to the slave cylinder. This means the clutch disk doesn't fully disengage, leading to gear and synchro grinding.
Upgrading to our EM1 kit transforms the system into an older, more direct, and efficient one. You'll feel a more consistent and direct clutch pedal, which makes high - RPM shifting much better.
Read our instructions to fix your gear change issues once and for all. Consider upgrading your shifter cables or cable bushings for an even sharper gear change.
