Product Description

The journal bearing has long been a key strength of turbochargers and is still widely used. But Comp Turbo takes it a step further with the latest ball bearing cartridge technology. Our innovative design and advanced tech have set a new standard for quality, performance, and value! High-performance applications demand a turbocharger that can quickly build boost pressure. That's where our patented Triplex Ceramic Turbochargers come in! Our ball bearing turbochargers feature a patented triplex ball bearing design with 99% mechanical efficiency. This means faster transient response compared to the industry-standard dual ball bearing system, thanks to minimized friction losses. It dramatically improves response times and maximizes power output. Our patented Triplex Ceramic bearing system is housed in a billet aluminum cartridge, making our turbochargers 5 to 12 pounds lighter on average. All our turbochargers are proudly made in the USA and feature our latest R-Line technology. The CTR 7/14 veined billet slim hub extended tip compressor wheel and high-efficiency CTR slim hub lightweight high-flow turbine wheel are part of our most advanced rotor technology yet. Features: • Titanium Bullet Nose • Fully Rebuildable/Upgradeable • Anti-Surge Compressor Housing • CTR Compressor and Turbine Wheel • Triplex Ceramic Bearing System CTR Compressor Wheel Technology: The CTR-line turbochargers have a 7 - 14 vaned compressor wheel with the latest compressor design. It has a minimum diameter hub for maximum intake airflow and an extended tip design for better efficiency at high pressure ratios. The R-line design can produce higher boost pressures at high engine speeds and increase engine HP output by up to 15%. CTR High Flow Turbine Technology: The CTR Turbine wheels have 25% lower inertia, leading to faster rotor acceleration. The slim hub and thin blade design maximize flow capacity, 30% more than the prior GT style Turbine wheel. With minimal leaving velocity, they offer higher turbine efficiency and a greater flow range. These wheels are designed for high exhaust flow and minimal leaving gas velocity. Turbochargers are built to order and take 3 to 5 weeks to deliver.

Using your Comp Turbo turbocharger is straightforward. First, make sure it's properly installed according to the vehicle's specifications. When starting your engine, let it warm up for a short while before putting it under heavy load. This helps the oil circulate and lubricate the turbocharger components. During normal operation, the turbocharger will work automatically to boost your engine's performance. Be aware that sudden acceleration and deceleration can put stress on the turbocharger, so try to drive smoothly. For maintenance, regularly check the oil level and quality. The oil lubricates the turbocharger and keeps it running smoothly. Change the oil as recommended by the manufacturer. Also, inspect the air intake and exhaust systems for any blockages or damage. If you notice any unusual noises or a decrease in performance, it's a good idea to have your turbocharger checked by a professional. Remember, these turbochargers are built to order and take 3 to 5 weeks to deliver, so plan your installation accordingly.
