Product Description
The RIFE 'Hi Temp' IAT / Intake Air Temperature Sensor with a 3/8' NPT thread and M5 connector is ideal for intake air temperatures ranging from 40° to 485°F. These sensors come with ultra - fast response thermistors that are 15 times faster and 3 times more accurate than traditional EFI sensors on the market. This means more precise tune - ups for a safer and more reliable performance. The Hi - AT sensor series is mainly used for turbo and blower cars as an IAT sensor and for compressor outlet temperature measurement. Due to its high - temperature ceiling, the resolution at lower temperatures is reduced. It's also suitable for other vehicle applications requiring an extended temperature range. Features include a 3/8' NPT thread, 15x faster response time, 3x more accurate readings, in - house machining and building, a temperature range of 40 to 485°F, and a hard anodized CNC machined housing. Note: Unlike most Motion Raceworks products, these sensors are not 100% Made in the USA. Also, this sensor won't work with Fueltech or Haltech ECU. For these ECUs, use part number 52 - 1208. Thermistors don't have a specific polarity, so wiring color or pin location doesn't require specific configuration. Check out our full line of Air Temp Sensors if you need a different thread pattern or electrical connection.
Using this RIFE Hi IAT Air Temperature Sensor is straightforward. First, make sure it's compatible with your vehicle. If you have a Fueltech or Haltech ECU, don't use this sensor; instead, use part number 52 - 1208. When installing, note that the thermistors don't have a certain polarity, so you don't need to worry about specific wiring configurations. The sensor is designed for intake air temperature measurement in the 40 to 485°F range, mainly for turbo and blower cars or compressor outlet temperature measurement. For other vehicle applications that need an extended temperature range, it can also be used. Just keep in mind that at lower temperatures, the resolution is decreased. As for maintenance, there's not much to do, but keep it clean and free from debris. If you need calibration for your EFI system, follow the links provided for Fueltech, Holley, and Haltech. If you need a different thread pattern or electrical connection, check out our full product line.
