Product Description
The RIFE Standard IAT / Intake Air Temp Sensor with a 3/8' NPT thread and GM Delphi Connector is a top - seller, ideal for the -10 to 335°F range. It features ultra - fast response thermistors, 15 times faster and 3 times more accurate than traditional EFI sensors. This means more precise tune adjustments for a safer and more reliable tune - up. It's great for naturally aspirated and intercooled turbo or blower cars and other vehicle applications. Optimized for accuracy in the 0° - 210°F range, it has a hard anodized CNC machined housing and is machined in - house. Connectors are sold separately. Note that unlike most Motion Raceworks products, it's not 100% Made in the USA. The Hi - AT series, for turbo and blower cars, is optimized for 40° - 485°F. This sensor isn't plug - and - play for factory ECUs; calibration is needed. Check out calibration setups for Fueltech, Holley, and Haltech. Thermistors have no polarity, so no specific wiring configuration is required.
Using this air temperature sensor is straightforward. First, make sure to select the appropriate connector, as they are sold separately. You can choose either the flying lead connector kit or the connector kit with crimp terminals. When installing, keep in mind that this sensor isn't a direct plug - and - play for your factory ECU. You'll need to calibrate the ECU to read the sensor data correctly. Check the links for calibration setups for different EFI systems like Fueltech, Holley, and Haltech. As for wiring, don't worry about specific polarity because thermistors don't have a certain polarity. Just connect the wires without stressing about wire color or pin location. Maintenance is easy. Keep the sensor clean and dry. If you notice any signs of damage or inaccurate readings, it might be time to check the sensor or its connections. Also, remember that while we try to source all US electronic components, this sensor isn't 100% Made in the USA.
