High - performance applications need a turbocharger that can accelerate quickly to build boost pressure rapidly. Comp Turbo's ball - bearing turbochargers feature a patented triplex ball - bearing design with 99% mechanical efficiency. This results in a faster transient response compared to the industry - standard dual ball - bearing system, thanks to minimized friction losses. It significantly improves response times and maximizes power output. Our patented Triplex Ceramic bearing system is housed in a billet aluminum cartridge, making our turbochargers 5 to 12 pounds lighter on average than others.
