But the ball bearing cartridge is the latest in turbocharger bearing technology, offering significant performance improvements. Comp Turbo takes it even further! Their innovative design and technology have set a new standard for quality, performance, and value. High-performance applications need a turbocharger that accelerates quickly to build boost pressure rapidly. This allows the engine to develop high torque at low speeds and produce very high power at maximum speed. Comp Turbo's patented Triplex Ceramic Turbochargers are the answer! These ball bearing turbochargers feature a patented triplex ball bearing design with 99% mechanical efficiency. They have a faster transient response than the industry standard dual ball bearing system due to minimized friction losses, greatly improving response times and maximizing power output. Our patented Triplex Ceramic bearing system is housed in a billet aluminum cartridge, making our turbochargers 5 to 12 pounds lighter on average. Our entire line of turbochargers is proudly made in the USA and features our latest R-Line technology. It includes the CTR 7/14 veined billet slim hub extended tip compressor wheel and high-efficiency CTR slim hub lightweight high-flow turbine wheel, our most advanced rotor technology yet. They have a minimum diameter hub to maximize intake airflow and an extended tip design for better efficiency at higher pressure ratios. The R-line design can produce higher boost pressures at high engine speeds and increase engine HP output by up to 15%. The advanced R-line compressor wheels are available on our entire CT turbocharger line. CTR High Flow Turbine Technology: The CTR turbine wheels have 25% lower inertia, leading to faster rotor acceleration. The slim hub and thin blade design make them unique and maximize flow capacity, increasing it by 30% compared to the prior GT style turbine wheel. The Comp Turbo CTR high-flow turbine wheels have minimal leaving velocity due to a longer surface blade length, minimizing losses. This results in higher turbine efficiency and a greater flow range than industry-standard turbine wheels. CTR turbine wheels are designed for high exhaust flow and have minimal leaving gas velocity to increase turbine efficiency. Turbochargers are built to order and take 3 to 5 weeks to deliver.
