Product Description

Part Number 18053: This brushless 5.0 spur gear in - tank pump comes with a variable speed controller, delivering ground - shaking performance through advanced technology. It's a direct drop - in replacement for any Aeromotive Stealth Fuel Cell, suitable for COPO, Cobra Jet, or Drag Pak race cars. It's also a great choice when building a 10 - deep custom fuel cell. It supports fuel - injected engines up to 3400 FWHP (naturally aspirated) or 2600 FWHP (forced air induction), and carbureted engines up to 3600 FWHP (naturally aspirated) or 2700 FWHP (forced air induction). It's E85 compatible (though you'll need to reduce max FWHP by 30%), lighter than traditional Pro - Series pumps, and has reduced current draw at higher EFI pressures. It offers an extended service life in methanol and ethanol, thanks to its new integral spur - gear pumping mechanism. With a 90 - PSI continuous operating pressure and up to 150 - PSI peak pressure (base plus boost), and an ORB - 10 outlet port, it's a reliable option. It needs a straight 12 - VDC to 16 - VDC power supply and isn't compatible with pulse - modulated systems or fuel pump speed controllers. It has an EFI rated flow of 1,700 lbs./hr. at 40 psi and 13.5 volts, and a carb rated flow of 1,850 lbs./hr. at 9 psi and 13.5 volts. Aeromotive’s True Variable Speed Controller offers built - in pump speed control via a dedicated 0 - 5V analog DC input signal, reducing fuel flow during low engine demand and minimizing motor heat and environmental impact through reduced fuel recycling.

Using this Aeromotive fuel pump is straightforward. First, make sure it's a correct fit for your Aeromotive Stealth Fuel Cell or custom fuel cell. Connect it to a straight 12 - VDC to 16 - VDC power supply as required. If you're using E85 fuel, remember that you'll need to reduce the maximum FWHP by 30%. When it comes to maintenance, keep an eye on the current draw and the operating pressure. Since it has an extended service life in methanol and ethanol, it's less likely to need frequent replacement in those fuels. However, check the pump and controller regularly for any signs of wear. Avoid using it with pulse - modulated systems or fuel pump speed controllers as it's not compatible. And always follow the standard safety procedures when handling fuel - related components.
