Discover our RIFE Surface Mount Temperature Sensors designed for a 3/8' Bolt with an M5 Connector. These sensors offer a wide temperature range from -20 to 275°F. You can choose between bolt - down or sub - surface mounting options. The bolt - down style, made for a 3/8” bolt, comes with an insulating washer. For the sub - surface style, it can be mounted in a 3/32” hole using epoxy, silicone, or a 400°F adhesive disc (included). Note: Due to the wiring size and usage nature of this product, we recommend creating a strain relief for the wiring. Also, unlike most Motion Raceworks products, these sensors are not 100% Made in the USA as we've had difficulty sourcing all components domestically.
Using this RIFE surface temperature sensor is straightforward. First, decide whether you want to use the bolt - down or sub - surface mounting option. For bolt - down, simply attach it using the 3/8” bolt and make use of the included insulating washer. If you choose sub - surface mounting, drill a 3/32” hole and use epoxy, silicone, or the provided 400°F adhesive disc to secure the sensor. Remember, because of the wiring size and how the product is used, it's a good idea to create a strain relief for the wiring. This will help prevent any damage to the wires. When it comes to maintenance, keep an eye on the sensor's performance within the -20 to 275°F temperature range. If you notice any issues with temperature readings, you may need to check the calibration. Also, since these sensors aren't 100% Made in the USA, make sure to source any replacement parts carefully.
