Lubrication is crucial for turbochargers spinning at extremely high speeds. Traditionally, engine oil has been used to lubricate turbocharger bearing systems. However, this approach has limitations and inconveniences. Oil-lubricated systems have restricted mounting options as oil needs to flow back to the engine by gravity, unless you use costly and complex scavenging systems. They're also prone to contamination from engine wear, leaking, and smoking. Comp Turbo addressed these issues with an innovative design and technology, introducing the world's first production oil-less water-cooled turbocharger! The patented CTR Oil-Less Turbochargers use a version of the Triplex Ceramic triple ball bearing system. The bearings are lubricated by a high-quality non-channeling grease. The bearing housing has a water jacket for cooling and a Zerk fitting for easy servicing. Comp Turbo ball bearing turbochargers feature a patented triple ball bearing design with 99% mechanical efficiency. This results in a faster transient response compared to the industry standard dual ball bearing system due to reduced friction losses. It significantly improves response times and maximizes power output. Our patented Triplex Ceramic bearing system is housed in a billet aluminum cartridge, making our turbochargers 5 to 12 pounds lighter on average. Our entire line of turbochargers is proudly made in the USA and features our latest R-Line technology. It includes the CTR 7/14 veined billet slim hub extended tip compressor wheel and high-efficiency CTR slim hub high flow turbine wheel, our most advanced rotor technology yet. Features: • Titanium Bullet Nose • Fully Rebuildable/Upgradeable • Anti-Surge Compressor Housing • CTR Compressor and Turbine Wheel • Triplex Ceramic Oil-Less Bearing System • Can be mounted in any orientation • Eliminates oil lines CTR Compressor Wheel Technology: The CTR-line turbochargers have a 7 - 14 vaned compressor wheel with the latest compressor design technology. They have a minimum diameter hub to boost intake airflow and an extended tip design for better efficiency at high pressure ratios. The R-line design, with maximum inducer diameters, generates higher boost pressures at high engine speeds and can increase engine HP output by up to 15%. The R-line advanced design compressor wheels are available on our entire CT turbocharger line. CTR High Flow Turbine Technology: The CTR Turbine wheels have 25% lower inertia, leading to faster rotor acceleration. The slim hub and thin blade design make it unique and maximize the flow capacity, 30% more than the prior GT style Turbine wheel. The Comp Turbo CTR high flow turbine wheels have minimal leaving velocity due to a longer surface blade length, reducing losses. This leads to higher turbine efficiency and a greater flow range than industry turbine wheels. CTR turbine wheels are designed for high exhaust flow requirements and have minimal leaving gas velocity to increase turbine efficiency. Turbochargers are built to order and take 3 to 5 weeks to deliver.

Using your Comp Turbo oil - less turbocharger is straightforward. First, make sure to install it in the engine following the recommended orientation. Since it can be mounted in any position, you have flexibility, but ensure all connections are secure. When it comes to maintenance, check the Zerk fitting regularly. You can use it to service the bearings easily. The water jacket in the bearing housing helps with cooling, so keep an eye on the coolant level. Also, the turbocharger is fully rebuildable and upgradeable. If you notice any performance issues or want to enhance it, you can take it to a professional for rebuilding or upgrading. Remember, these turbochargers are built to order, so it takes 3 to 5 weeks for delivery. Be patient during this time and get your engine ready for the new turbocharger installation.
