Experience a new look and an amazing feel! Over a decade ago, we introduced our upgraded shifter cable bushings, giving drivers a more direct connection between the shifter and gear selector. By incorporating a steel bearing in the larger bushing, we outperformed the competition and prevented the gear selector from binding during movement.
We've raised the standard once more with our new Competition shifter cable bushings. This new generation offers all the benefits of the original and more. The most noticeable changes are in the material and design. In recent years, we've tested new lightweight materials that are durable, corrosion-resistant, and easy to install.
Modern materials for modern cars! Our Competition bushings are made of injection-molded black Delrin, which is extremely durable with high cyclic fatigue resistance against impacts and chemicals. They can operate safely in environments up to 250°F and can withstand greater forces than the cables. The center bushing is machined from 6061 aluminum and has a protective anodized finish.
Another advantage of our new bushings is their corrosion resistance, so they won't rust. When installed with the supplied high-temperature grease, they'll feel great for years. These bushings are not only stronger than the previous version but also easier to install. There are no more spiral clips, and since the bushing self-locks into the housing, no installation tools are required.
In short, these bushings provide an incredibly smooth operation compared to factory rubber parts. They're easy to install and eliminate all unwanted slack in the shifter.
