• The Hybrid Racing solid shifter base is a great choice for car enthusiasts. It lets you mount a DC5 shifter right on top of the exhaust tunnel in EF, EG, EK, DA or DC2 chassis. Made from a solid piece of billet aluminum with CNC machining and a beautiful Dust Black finish, it looks great and is very strong.

  The rubber lower seal on this base is very useful. It stops dust, dirt, debris and fumes from getting into the chassis through the open hole. You can use the included hardware to mount either the Hybrid Racing RSX shifter or the factory unit.

  During installation, you'll need to drill two small M8 holes, similar to our K - swap bolt - in shifters.

Using the Hybrid Racing DC5 Shifter Mounting Plate is easy. First, check if your vehicle is one of the compatible models: 1988 - 2000 Honda Civic & Del Sol or 1989 - 2001 Acura Integra. If it is, you can start the installation. You'll need to drill two small M8 holes in the chassis, just like with our K - swap bolt - in shifters. Then, use the included stainless hardware to mount the shifter base directly to the top of the exhaust tunnel. The rubber lower seal will keep dust and other stuff out of the chassis. As for maintenance, just clean the plate regularly with a mild cleaner to keep its Dust Black finish looking good. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the anodized billet aluminum. And if you notice any issues with the rubber seal, like it's getting worn out, you might want to replace it to keep the protection intact.
