As the trend of installing K-Series engines and transmissions in RWD setups rises, getting the right shifter and shifter cable geometry is crucial. Unlike FWD systems where cables mount on top of the gearbox and exit at the rear, in RWD with the transmission behind the driver, the cables need to exit at the front, opposite to Honda's original design.
Our simple yet effective bracket lets you directly bolt the cables to the front of the K-Series transmission without altering the gearbox housing. Just cut off the gear selector counterweight, and you can mount OEM DC5 style shifter cables to the gearbox as usual. No need for complex linkage adapters or extra brackets.
Inside the car, position your shifter so the cables face the transmission. This gives you a proper gear shift pattern and, most importantly, the correct shifter cable angle geometry. Correct geometry ensures smooth operation of the shifter cables and gearbox. Incorrect geometry can damage shifter cables, wear out bearings early, or make gear changes difficult and inconsistent.
Our shifter cable brackets are made with all necessary mounting hardware. They're laser-cut from high-strength carbon steel and powder-coated for a tough, long-lasting finish.
Fits K20A/A2/A3/Z1 gearboxes.
Requires a DC5 style or Hybrid Racing A2 K-Swap shifter.
Requires DC5 style or Hybrid Racing DC5 shifter cables.

Using this Hybrid Racing shifter cable bracket is easy. First, make sure you have a K20 transmission and DC5 style cables. Cut off the gear selector counterweight. Then, use the included hardware and spacer to bolt the cables directly to the front of the K-Series transmission. Inside the car, mount the shifter so the cables point towards the transmission. This will give you a proper gear shift pattern. When it comes to maintenance, keep an eye on the powder coat finish. If it gets scratched, touch it up to prevent rust. Also, regularly check the mounting hardware to make sure it's tight. Note that this bracket is specifically for RWD K-Series applications and won't work with other setups. And always use a DC5 style or Hybrid Racing A2 K-Swap shifter along with DC5 style or Hybrid Racing DC5 shifter cables.
