Are these cables a direct replacement for my OEM 8th gen style cables?
Yes! A new rubber grommet is included, so you don't need to reuse the OEM one. The bushing for the right/left shifter motion is upgraded from plastic to aluminum, along with a spring clip. This simplifies installation and eliminates a flexy plastic part that causes a sloppy shift. The extra spring clip is included, so no additional parts are needed. What is included with these shifter cables?
The kit has two shifter cables. Each set includes two cotter pins, clips for the shifter end, transmission selector lever springs, a new rubber grommet for the firewall hole, and upgraded transmission gear selector springs (recommended for a better driving experience).
