Product Description

The RIFE 'Hi Temp' IAT / Intake Air Temperature Sensor with a 1/8' NPT thread and GM Delphi Connector is ideal for intake air temperatures ranging from 40° to 485°F. These sensors have ultra - fast response thermistors. They're 15 times faster and 3 times more accurate than traditional EFI sensors on the market. This means more precise tune adjustments for a safer and more reliable tune - up. The Hi - AT sensor series is mainly used for turbo and blower cars as an IAT sensor and for compressor outlet temperature measurement. Due to its high - temperature limit, its resolution at lower temperatures drops. It's also suitable for other vehicle applications needing an extended temperature range. The sensor is optimized for accuracy and resolution in the 40° - 485°F range. Features include a 1/8' NPT thread, GM Delphi Connector, 15x faster response time, 3x more accurate readings, in - house machining and building, and a hard anodized CNC machined housing. Connectors are sold separately. Flying Lead Connector Kit and Connector Kit w/ crimp terminals are available. Note that unlike most Motion Raceworks products, these sensors aren't 100% Made in the USA. This sensor won't work with Fueltech or Haltech ECU. Use part number 52 - 1243 instead. It's not a direct plug - and - play for your factory ECU; you'll need to calibrate the ECU to read the sensor data correctly. Check calibration setup for EFI Systems like Fueltech, Holley, and Haltech. If you need a different thread pattern or electrical connection, see our full line of Air Temp Sensors. Thermistors have no specific polarity, so wire color or pin location on the sensor doesn't need specific configuration.

Using the RIFE IAT Air Temperature Sensor is quite straightforward. First, make sure to install it in the right place for accurate intake air temperature readings. The sensor is mainly for turbo and blower cars, or for measuring compressor outlet temperature, but can also be used in other vehicle parts that need an extended temperature range. When it comes to wiring, since thermistors don't have a specific polarity, you don't have to worry about the wire color or pin location. Just connect them as you see fit. Remember, the connectors are sold separately, so you'll need to get the Flying Lead Connector Kit or the Connector Kit w/ crimp terminals. This sensor isn't a direct plug - and - play for your factory ECU. You'll have to calibrate the ECU to make it read the sensor data correctly. For Fueltech or Haltech ECU, this sensor won't work. Use part number 52 - 1243 instead. As for maintenance, keep the sensor clean. The hard anodized CNC machined housing helps protect it, but it's still a good idea to check it regularly for any signs of damage. Also, be aware that because of its high - temperature limit, the resolution at lower temperatures is decreased. If you need a different thread pattern or electrical connection, check out our full line of air temperature sensors.
