Lubrication is crucial for turbochargers spinning at super high speeds. Using engine oil to lubricate turbocharger bearing systems has been the norm, but it has limitations. Oil-lubricated systems have restricted mounting options as oil needs to flow back to the engine by gravity, unless you use costly and complex scavenging systems. They're also prone to contaminants from engine wear, leaks, and smoking. These issues inspired Comp Turbo to develop the world's first production oil-less turbocharger! The patented CTR Oil-Less Turbochargers use a Triplex Ceramic triple ball bearing system, where the bearings are lubricated by a special high-quality non-channeling grease. The Air-Cooled model's bearing housing has an internal air passage behind the compressor wheel for cooling, instead of a water jacket. Without the need for oil or water lines, and with a Zerk fitting for easy servicing, the CTR Air-Cooled Triplex Ceramic Turbochargers are perfect for low, mid, or remote mount setups. Comp Turbo ball bearing turbochargers have a patented triple ball bearing design with 99% mechanical efficiency! They respond faster than the industry-standard dual ball bearing system due to less friction loss, greatly improving response times and boosting power output. Our patented Triplex Ceramic bearing system is in a billet aluminum housing, making our turbochargers 5 to 12 pounds lighter on average. Our entire line of turbochargers is proudly made in the USA and features our latest R-Line technology! It includes the CTR 7/14 veined billet slim hub extended tip compressor wheel and CTR slim hub lightweight turbine wheel, our most advanced rotor technology yet. Features: • Titanium Bullet Nose • Fully Rebuildable/Upgradeable • Anti-Surge Compressor Housing • CTR Compressor and Turbine Wheel • No need for oil and water lines • Can be mounted in any orientation CTR Compressor Wheel Technology: The CTR-line turbochargers have a 7 - 14 vaned compressor wheel with the latest compressor design technology. They have a small-diameter hub to increase intake airflow and an extended tip design for better efficiency at high pressure ratios. The R-line design, with its large inducer diameters, creates higher boost pressures at high engine speeds and can increase engine HP output by up to 15%. The R-line advanced compressor wheels are available on our whole CT turbocharger line. CTR High Flow Turbine Technology: The CTR Turbine wheels have 25% lower inertia, which means faster rotor acceleration. Their slim hub and thin blade design are unique and increase the flow capacity by 30% compared to the old GT style Turbine wheel. The Comp Turbo CTR high flow turbine wheels have low leaving velocity because of their long blade length, so losses are minimized. This leads to higher turbine efficiency and a wider flow range than other turbine wheels in the industry. CTR turbine wheels are designed for high exhaust flow and have low leaving gas velocity, which boosts turbine efficiency. Turbochargers are built to order and take 3 to 5 weeks to deliver.





Using your CTR Air-Cooled 1.0 Turbocharger is straightforward. First, make sure to install it in your engine following the manufacturer's instructions. Since it doesn't need oil or water lines, mounting it in any orientation is possible. This gives you flexibility in setting it up according to your engine's layout. When it comes to maintenance, use the Zerk fitting for easy servicing. Regularly check the Turbocharger for any signs of wear or damage, especially the Titanium Bullet Nose and the compressor and turbine wheels. If you notice any issues, our turbochargers are fully rebuildable and upgradeable. Keep in mind that these turbochargers are built to order, so expect a 3 - 5 week delivery time. With proper use and maintenance, your turbocharger will provide high performance and long - lasting service.
