Lubrication is crucial for turbochargers spinning at super-high speeds. Traditionally, engine oil has been used to lubricate turbocharger bearing systems. However, it comes with limitations and hassles. Oil-lubricated systems offer limited mounting choices. Oil must flow back to the engine by gravity unless you use costly and complex scavenging systems. Also, they're prone to contamination from engine wear, leaks, and smoking. These issues inspired Comp Turbo to develop the world's first production oil-less water-cooled turbocharger! The patented CTR Oil-Less Turbochargers use a version of the Triplex Ceramic triple ball bearing system. The bearings are lubricated with a special high-quality non-channeling grease. The bearing housing has a water jacket for cooling and a Zerk fitting for easy maintenance. Comp Turbo ball bearing turbochargers have a patented triple ball bearing design with 99% mechanical efficiency! This results in a quicker transient response than the industry-standard dual ball bearing system due to reduced friction losses. It significantly improves response times and maximizes power output! Our patented Triplex Ceramic bearing system is housed in a billet aluminum cartridge, making our turbochargers 5 to 12 pounds lighter on average than others! Our entire line of turbochargers is proudly made in the USA and features our latest R-Line technology! It includes the CTR 7/14 veined billet slim hub extended tip compressor wheel and high-efficiency CTR slim hub high-flow turbine wheel, our most advanced rotor technology yet. They have a small-diameter hub to boost intake airflow and an extended tip design for better efficiency at high pressure ratios. The R-line design, with its large inducer diameters, generates higher boost pressures at high engine speeds and can increase engine HP output by up to 15%. The R-line advanced design compressor wheels are now available on our full line of CT turbochargers. CTR High Flow Turbine Technology: The CTR Turbine wheels have 25% lower inertia, enabling faster rotor acceleration. The slim hub and thin blade design are unique and maximize the flow capacity, increasing it by 30% compared to the previous GT style Turbine wheel. The Comp Turbo CTR high-flow turbine wheels have minimal leaving velocity because of their longer surface blade length, reducing leaving losses. This leads to higher turbine efficiency and a wider flow range than industry-standard turbine wheels. CTR turbine wheels are designed for high exhaust flow requirements and have low leaving gas velocity to boost turbine efficiency. Turbochargers are built to order and take 3 to 5 weeks to deliver.

Using your Comp Turbo CTR3693E - 6265 turbocharger is straightforward. First, make sure it's mounted in the orientation that suits your engine setup. Since it can be mounted in any orientation and has no oil lines, installation is more flexible. Once installed, start your engine as normal. The turbocharger will start working right away, boosting your engine's power. When it comes to maintenance, the bearing housing has a Zerk fitting, which makes it easy to service. You don't have to worry about oil contamination or leaks as it uses a special grease for lubrication. But still, keep an eye on the water - cooling system. Make sure the water jacket in the bearing housing is always filled with coolant to keep the turbocharger at the right temperature. If you notice any performance issues or strange noises, it might be time to have it checked. Remember, our turbochargers are fully rebuildable and upgradeable.
