When designing our K-Swap cold air intake, we took an unconventional approach. Our goal was to offer a product that outperforms and looks better than competing intakes. The result is a true 3-inch intake that keeps your intake charge cool and makes your engine bay look great.
The standout feature is the 100% glass-reinforced silicone construction. Silicone acts as a thermal barrier, preventing the intake from absorbing heat from the radiator like aluminum intakes do. This leads to lower intake air temperatures and improved engine performance. Also, there's no need for a coupler at the throttle body, reducing air turbulence.
An important but less obvious feature is its compatibility with RBC, RRC, and PRB intake manifolds. Most competing intakes work with only one type, but ours works with all three. It also fits both OEM k-series and big bore throttle bodies, thanks to the custom-designed t-bolt clamp.
And let's not forget about looks. With K-Swaps, power is key, but looking good doesn't hurt. This intake is one of the cleanest on the market. When installed, only the intake tube and a single t-bolt clamp are visible, and the hanger is neatly tucked into the driver's side fender.
